Providing Free Accredited First Aid Training Places for Local Charities and Community Groups
Supporting organisations including Hebburn Helps, SURT, Hospitality & Hope and The Singing Elf.
❤️ Making Accredited First Aid Training Accessible
Every charity and community organisation wants to keep its staff, volunteers and the people it supports safe.
Unfortunately, training budgets are often one of the first things to be stretched.
At First Aid Saves Lives CIC, we believe that a lack of funding should never prevent someone from learning life-saving skills.
That’s why we’re proud to provide free accredited first aid training places to local charities, voluntary organisations and community groups whenever funding and availability allow.
Through this initiative, organisations including Hebburn Helps, SURT, Hospitality & Hope and The Singing Elf have been able to access nationally recognised first aid qualifications without the financial barriers that can often prevent training from taking place.
Because stronger organisations create stronger communities.

Supporting the Organisations That Support Others
Every day, charities and community organisations work tirelessly to improve the lives of local people.
They provide food support.
Mental health services.
Community activities.
Youth programmes.
Practical advice.
Volunteer opportunities.
Behind every one of those services are dedicated staff and volunteers who deserve the confidence to respond if someone becomes ill or injured.
By offering funded training places, we’re helping these organisations continue delivering their incredible work while improving safety for everyone involved.
More Than Just a Qualification
An accredited first aid certificate is important.
But the greatest value lies in the confidence that comes with it.
Throughout each course, learners develop practical skills including:
✅ Assessing an emergency safely
✅ Calling for help
✅ CPR
✅ Using a Public Access Defibrillator (AED)
✅ Managing choking
✅ Treating severe bleeding
✅ Caring for an unconscious casualty
✅ Responding calmly under pressure
These are skills that benefit organisations every day—but they’re equally valuable at home, in the community and wherever life takes them.
Creating Opportunities Through Partnership
One of the strengths of First Aid Saves Lives CIC is our commitment to partnership working.
By collaborating with charities, local organisations and community groups, we’re able to identify where support is needed most and use our resources to create the greatest possible impact.
Providing funded training places isn’t simply about reducing costs.
It’s about creating opportunities.
Opportunities for volunteers to gain nationally recognised qualifications.
Opportunities for organisations to increase their capacity.
Opportunities for communities to become safer and better prepared.
Investing in Community Resilience
Every trained first aider strengthens the community around them.
The volunteer who learns CPR today may help a family member tomorrow.
The charity worker who completes an accredited course may one day respond to a medical emergency involving someone they support.
The skills learned on one training course can have an impact for years to come.
That’s why we see every funded training place as an investment in community resilience.
The benefits don’t stop when the course finishes.
They continue spreading throughout our communities.
