Free and Low-Cost First Aid Workshops That Save Lives

At First Aid Saves Lives CIC, we believe first aid shouldn’t be a luxury. That’s why we provide free and low-cost community workshops that focus on the most critical life-saving skills, designed especially for groups who may not otherwise have access.

These sessions are short, practical, and delivered in a friendly, accessible way. Whether you’re part of a social club, school, youth group, or a parent community, our goal is simple: to help more people feel confident taking action in an emergency.

CPR and Defibrillator Awareness Workshop

What it covers:
This essential workshop teaches the core life-saving skill of CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and how to use a defibrillator (AED) with confidence.

Participants will learn:

How to recognise when someone is not breathing or in cardiac arrest
Step-by-step CPR using adult and child mannequins
How to locate and use a public defibrillator
Why early intervention can double or triple survival chances
How to stay calm and take charge in a real emergency

Who it’s for:
Everyone. From youth groups to older adults, we tailor this workshop for all abilities and experience levels.

Session length:
Approx. 2 to 3 hours. Can be delivered at your venue or community space.

Cost:
Often free for eligible community groups or available at a low cost thanks to support from donations and merchandise sales.

Bleed Awareness Workshop

What it covers:
This workshop focuses on the fast, simple actions that can prevent someone from bleeding to death in an emergency.

Participants will learn:

How to identify life-threatening bleeding
How to apply direct pressure and dress wounds
When and how to use a tourniquet
How to use and recognise public bleed control kits
Real-life scenarios that show how fast intervention can save a life

Who it’s for:
Ideal for community groups, schools, youth workers, parents, and any organisation near a bleed control kit or with high footfall.

Session length:
Approx. 1 hour. Flexible delivery available.

Cost:
Free or low-cost depending on group size, location, and funding availability.
