Why First Aid Should Be for Everyone
First Aid Saves Lives And Builds Stronger, More Confident Communities.
At First Aid Saves Lives CIC, we’re on a mission to make first aid skills accessible, practical, and empowering—especially for communities that need it most. When people know what to do in an emergency, they don’t just help others, they uplift their entire community. That’s why we’re committed to removing barriers, building confidence, and giving everyone the chance to learn life-saving skills.
How First Aid Transforms Communities
Accessibility means more lives saved
Not everyone can afford a formal course or travel to a training centre, and that’s where we come in. Through free resources and free / low-cost workshops delivered locally, we are bringing first aid to community centres, schools, sports clubs and care settings—so no one is left behind when it matters most.
Integrity drives everything we do
Every affiliate link, merchandise purchase, or training referral supports the mission. We reinvest all profits directly into workshops, posters, and outreach—ensuring transparency and trust in every step we take.
Empowerment builds confidence, not fear
Emergencies are scary—but knowing what to do changes everything. We equip people with the tools, skills and mindset to take action, not panic. That confidence ripples outward—into families, workplaces, and wider community networks.
Community-first support reaches those who need it
We’re rooted in South Tyneside and serve the wider North East with one goal: to lift up our neighbours. Whether it’s a youth group learning CPR or a volunteer printing our choking poster for a community centre wall, our focus stays the same—helping people help each other.
We believe in action, not just awareness
Raising awareness is important, but teaching people what to do is transformational. We focus on practical action—making first aid part of everyday life, not just something you think about after an emergency.
Who We Help and Support
Bringing First Aid Education to the People Who Need It Most
At First Aid Saves Lives CIC, we’re committed to reaching individuals and groups who may not otherwise have access to vital first aid training. Whether it’s financial barriers, lack of availability, or specific community needs, we are here to bridge the gap. We work with a wide range of people and organisations to make life-saving skills truly accessible.
We support (but are not limited to)
- Community groups and charities. We partner with local organisations to deliver training that empowers members to look after one another during emergencies.
- Disadvantaged and underserved communities. Our mission is rooted in inclusion. We focus on areas where cost, access, or other challenges have kept first aid out of reach.
- People who cannot afford formal training. We provide free resources and low-cost workshops as a practical alternative for those who may not have the means to attend accredited courses.
- Youth groups and social clubs. From Scouts to sports teams, we give young people and group leaders the tools they need to respond with confidence.
- Parents of young children and expectant mothers. We help families feel prepared for the unexpected—covering everything from choking to minor injuries and emergency response.
- Groups and venues with nearby defibrillators or bleed kits. We offer practical guidance and poster resources to ensure these life-saving tools don’t go unused due to lack of training or awareness.
- Autism support organisations. We tailor our delivery to be inclusive and accessible, ensuring individuals with autism and their caregivers can learn in ways that suit their needs.
It’s not just about first aid! It’s about giving people the power to make a difference in their own communities.
Every action you take helps us reach more people with life-saving skills.
Whether you’re an individual, a community group, or a business, there are many simple ways you can support our mission—and every bit of support goes directly back into helping local communities.
